Watchlist notes · Hardware

The right kit. The exact version.

A console bundle, a different memory option and a standalone board may look similar in a search result. Before watching hardware, make sure the link points to the version you would actually buy.

Match the model before saving the link

Check the model number, storage or memory capacity, colour, region and what is included in the box. Save a retailer’s individual product page, rather than a brand’s whole hardware category.

A bundle may have its own page and restock independently of the standalone item. Each retailer or bundle link counts as a separate product. The free plan watches one link, so choose the offer you want to follow.

A real example: one board, several memory options

On 21 October 2026, our checker could read an availability result from Pimoroni’s Raspberry Pi 5 product page. The Pi Hut’s page for the same product returned unknown. That is why the product itself being familiar tells us very little about whether a particular retailer’s link works.

The Pimoroni check covered the base product URL, not every memory selection. Read the full test note and compare your exact selection before relying on it. This example doesn’t establish support for console or graphics-card retailers.

Preorders and local collection need extra care

A preorder, backorder or estimated delivery date is different from stock available now. Restokk does not currently treat published preorder or backorder statuses as confirmed in-stock availability.

Some retailers show availability only after entering a postcode, selecting a branch or signing in. Restokk reads public product pages and doesn’t make those choices for you. Check the shop directly when delivery or collection location matters.

Set up one useful watch first

  1. Copy the exact HTTPS product link with your desired options selected.
  2. Paste it into Restokk and compare the preview with the retailer’s page.
  3. Choose email alerts, or enable and test Android notifications.
  4. Save it, then check that the watch remains active and has a recent check time.

Restokk aims to check about every 15 minutes; queues and restrictions may make it slower. It isn’t a release-time countdown, a checkout bot or a way to reserve hardware. For a brief drop, read why an item can sell out before an alert reaches you.

Leave a little watching to Dorc.
