1. Open the app in Chrome
On your Android phone, open the Restokk web app directly in Chrome. If you arrived from an email or social app, use its menu to open the link in Chrome first.
Sign in, or create and verify a free account. Use the same account if you already have a watchlist on another device. You don’t need a separate mobile subscription.
2. Install it on your home screen
Use Restokk’s Install app button if it appears. Otherwise open Chrome’s ⋮ menu and look for Install and create shortcut → Install. Depending on Chrome and your device, the option may instead be called Install app or Add to Home screen. Follow the prompt.
Open the Restokk icon from your home screen. Restokk is a web app installed by your browser; there is no Play Store listing to download. Google’s web-app installation instructions describe the current Chrome menu.
3. Allow notifications in Restokk
Open Alert settings in the app and choose Enable push alerts. Allow notifications when the browser asks. Installing the app and allowing alerts are separate steps.
Do this on each Android device where you want notifications. You can also select Email me when it returns when adding a product, so your enabled emails and phone notifications work alongside one another.
4. Send a test alert
In Alert settings, choose Send test alert. Check your phone’s notifications for Dorc’s test message. The app saying the push service accepted it does not prove your phone displayed it.
Once the test arrives, add the exact link for a sold-out product and check its preview. Future alerts need a confirmed change from out of stock to in stock. Adding an item that’s already available won’t send an immediate restock alert.
If a step doesn’t work
- No install option: confirm you are in Chrome on Android, check whether Restokk is already installed, and update Chrome if needed. You can keep using the browser app.
- Permission was blocked: open the site’s permissions in Chrome settings, allow notifications, then return to Alert settings.
- No test notification: check your connection, Android notification permissions, Do Not Disturb and battery restrictions. Reopen Chrome if it was force-stopped.
- It stopped after a password reset: password resets remove push subscriptions. Enable push again on the devices you use.
Still stuck? Tell us your phone model, Android version, browser and the step that failed. Keep passwords and verification codes private.
Turn alerts off, or remove the app
Choose Turn off on this device in Alert settings to stop that device’s push alerts. You can also change the site’s notification permission in Chrome. Uninstall the app through Android’s app settings if you no longer want its icon.
Removing the installed app does not delete your Restokk account or stop server checks and enabled emails. Pause or remove watches in Restokk to stop further checks, or request account deletion.
